At A&M RV Center, we are so proud to be a part of Anchorage. It’s particularly beautiful in the spring, making it a fantastic time to visit. If you’re a lover of long days, Anchorage has more hours of daylight than anywhere in the other 49 states after March 20th, and viewing the northern lights is still possible in the evenings. There are also plenty of events and activities in Anchorage during the spring. Thousands of families and individuals love to rent an RV and go from event to event or choose to just do a couple. Here are some of the exciting things that Anchorage has to offer during springtime. Spot a Gray Whale Whale watching cruises begin in mid-March, right at the start of spring, since gray whales are the first migratory whale species to return in the springtime. Check Out a Local Tradition to Welcome Spring The Spring Carnival and the Slush Cup are held in early April at the Alyeska Resort. This is a tradition amongst locals, and it is a family-friendly and hilarious way to spend some time. Just imagine watching skiers attempt to build up enough speed to skim across an icy pond!
